Alternative Tour Beirut was established in the summer of 2015 to provide a holistic, local and complex perspective on Beirut. Our mission is to disseminate knowledge about the city’s complex dimensions using experiences such as walking, learning, team building or networking. We present Beirut and other cities from an alternative lens and our experiences adapt to the continuous changes of the city.
We aim to support social change by promoting sustainable modes of transport, presenting green ways of living, giving a space and voice to those in the city that are often silenced, and promote local business by exposing less-known neighborhoods.
Alternative Tour Beirut has placed itself at the cross-roads of tourism, education and social change.
ALTERNATIVE WALKING TOUR
The 4-hour walking tour is a fascinating journey from East to West Beirut, unlayering 4 different neighborhoods. In doing so, the tour explores the depth of both Beirut’s past and present. The tour stops at various alternative and authentic spots for refreshments and snacks.

We use the outdoors coupled with team building activities/games. We currently offer these experiences in Beirut, Tyre, Rachmaya and Afqa but also have the ability to cater experiences tailored to specific needs.
